Nagpur Book Club Celebrates World Book Day 2026 with a Memorable Fellowship MeetNagpur Book Club marked World Book Day 2026 with warmth, laughter, and a shared love for literature at a special fellowship meet held on Sunday, 19th April. Although World Book Day falls on 23rd April, the club thoughtfully chose a Sunday so that more members could come together and celebrate without the constraints of a working day. Nagpur Book Club has been celebrating World Book Day every year since 2015.Hosted graciously by Dr. Tejinder Singh Rawal, Founder of Nagpur Book Club, at his residence, the gathering saw an enthusiastic turnout of over 70 members. The atmosphere was lively from the very beginning, as members reintroduced themselves, offering glimpses into their reading journeys, literary preferences, and the books currently occupying their bedside tables. It was a reminder of the diverse reading culture that defines the club.One of the highlights of the meet was an engaging literary game that tested both memory and imagination. Members were presented with quotes and situations from well-known books and had to guess the corresponding literary characters. The room buzzed with excitement as guesses flew around, often accompanied by laughter and friendly debates.Adding a personal and reflective touch to the event, members were invited to write their favourite book quotes on post-it notes. These were then displayed on a vibrant “quotes wall” that quickly became a focal point of the gathering. Reading through the collection felt like walking through a shared literary soul of the group. Members later voted for the most impactful quotes, and the winners were rewarded with thoughtfully chosen bookmarks.During the meet, Dr. Rawal also announced an upcoming collaboration with India Peace Center to commemorate Earth Day on 22nd April at 8 AM at the India Peace Centre campus in Civil Lines, Nagpur. The announcement was met with great interest, reflecting the club’s commitment to meaningful community engagement beyond books.The evening concluded on a delightful note with a grand dinner, where conversations flowed as freely as the food. It was a time for deeper connections, shared recommendations, and the simple joy of being among fellow book lovers.Special appreciation goes to Amarjit Singh, Rinku Matharu, Simi Rawal, Jigyasa Rawal, and RJ Tejal, whose efforts played a key role in making the event a success.Nagpur Book Club continues to host its monthly meets, bringing together readers to discuss and celebrate literature.
