Nagpur Book Club celebrated World Book Day by organizing a special annual meet of its members. As always, this special World Book Day meet was hosted by NBC Founder Dr. T. S. Rawal at his residence. Over 50 NBC members attended this special meet. Instead of dedicated book reviews, NBC World Book Day meets are more of an occasion for book lovers to get together and get to know each other better. Members new and old, introduced themselves, and spoke about their current reads or their favourite books. It was nice to see the variety of genres being read by NBC members. NBC is also proud to have many published authors as its regular members. We can confidently say that Nagpur Book Club is one of the most vibrant and active book clubs in the country!We had members as young as 6 years old and as young as 75 share their favourite books with us. It was a very satisfying meet with old friendships renewed and many new ones made! Nagpur Book Club is proud to have completed 9 continuous years in existence, and we are all looking forward to celebrating our 10th Anniversary in 2025!The discussion was followed by cutting special Nagpur Book Club and World Book Day commemorative cakes. It was followed by a lavish refreshment spread arranged so graciously by the Rawal and Matharu family. It is only because of such gracious patrons that Nagpur Book Club is thriving and growing by leaps and bounds.We missed core committee members Ashok Rathi, Pushpa Rathi and Anil Saxena as they are out of town. Core Committee member Dinesh Dhawane moderated the meet, and Kapil Sawaikar co-ordinated the arrangements. Lata Tokhi was in charge of media coverage. Rohit Tokhi gave opening and closing remarks.
